Welcome

Welcome to the DTRA Broad Area Announcement (BAA) Portal. DTRA funds research to support DTRA’s mission to safeguard America and its allies from WMD (e.g., chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and high yield explosives) by providing capabilities to reduce, eliminate, and counter the threat and mitigate its effects. DTRA funds research across the technology spectrum from basic science to full scale technology development.

This portal provides information on research awards, a library of template and forms used during project submission, and a link to the DTRA submission and proposal debriefing website. A link for current proposal evaluators and to register to review proposals for DTRA is also available.

Basic Research Technical Reviews

DTRA holds Basic Research Technical Reviews (BRTRs) to evaluate the technical progress made by basic research awardees and ensure advancement of on-going research efforts. The review also provides an excellent opportunity to foster collaborations, for mutual edification across the community of C-WMD researchers, and to build relationships with students and post doctoral fellows.
